The 17th China International Modern Railway Technology and Equipment Exhibition: Pushing the Boundaries of Rail Technology

The 17th China International Modern Railway Technology and Equipment Exhibition took place in Beijing from July 8 to July 9, 2025. This international event attracted a large number of attendees interested in the latest advancements in railway technology.

The exhibition showcased a wide range of railway technologies and equipment, including those for high-speed rail, metro, and freight transportation. One of the prominent exhibits at the event was the demonstration of cutting-edge railway technologies.

The Fuxing high-speed train was one of the main attractions at the exhibition. Visitors had the opportunity to witness a simulated driving of the Fuxing high-speed train, showcasing its impressive capabilities. The simulated driving was a highlight of the event, providing an immersive and realistic experience for attendees.

The latest developments in simulated high-speed train driving technology were also on display at the exhibition. These advancements include the integration of VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and cloud-based systems in high-fidelity train simulators. These technologies significantly enhance driver training, operational safety, and system testing by creating immersive and realistic virtual environments that replicate various train operational scenarios.

China highlighted its advancements in high-speed rail at the exhibition, including models and immersive VR experiences showcasing cutting-edge train technologies. A notable focus was on China's new maglev train, reaching speeds up to 373 mph, which is nearly on par with Japan's fastest bullet trains. These developments underline China's commitment to pushing the boundaries of high-speed rail technology.

The exhibition served as a platform for showcasing the latest advancements in railway technology and fostering collaboration and innovation in the industry. It provided an opportunity for networking and collaboration among industry professionals in the railway sector. Furthermore, several international companies showcased their latest railway equipment at the exhibition in Beijing.

These advances collectively demonstrate that simulation technology at the exhibition not only supports driver skill development but also aids broader railway system design, cybersecurity testing, and operational safety improvements, particularly for high-speed rail and maglev trains. China’s leadership in adopting these technologies reflects the country’s strategic ambitions in the global railway sector.
