AI Agent Game Introduced on Farcaster by Pixelverse, Originally a Telegram Project

Pixelverse, the innovative gaming platform, is set to launch a new arcade on the Ethereum layer-2 network, Base, on September 23. This expansion marks a significant step for the company, which has been successful with its Telegram tap-to-earn game.

The first game in the Pixelverse Arcade, called Storychain, was launched in August 2022 by Pixelverse's co-founder, Kori Leon. Storychain is an AI agent-led game focusing on collaborative storytelling through a decentralised social media platform, Farcaster.

In contrast to Telegram, every interaction in Farcaster is Web3-native from the start, while on Telegram, gifts and collectibles are controlled by the platform, and wallet integration is optional. With the transition to Farcaster, Pixelverse aims to integrate Web3 mechanics at scale in a more open environment.

The game Storychain is part of the Pixelverse Arcade and will maintain a reward pool of PIXFI, the existing Pixelverse ecosystem token, which will also be deployed on Base. PIXFI tokens may be subject to buyback mechanics based on the revenue generated by the Arcade.

The starting points of stories in Storychain can produce different types of NFTs, with higher rarity for stories beginning under popular or trending posts. The amount of people minting completed story NFTs will be a main metric for evaluating the success of Storychain.

The transition to Farcaster allows Pixelverse to start with users who are already crypto-native, which strengthens engagement and conversion. Pixelverse's Arcade platform will be connected to Coinbase Wallet and Base, providing a seamless user experience.

Pixelverse's co-founder, Kori Leon, stated that the platform is still building on Telegram but seeks to integrate Web3 mechanics at scale in a more open environment. This expansion aims to deliver more Web3 mechanics to a receptive audience of crypto-native users.

A tweet announcing the expansion was posted by Pixelverse on September 17, 2025. The new gaming platform, Pixelverse Arcade, is set to launch on September 23, bringing a new era of Web3-native gaming to the Ethereum layer-2 network.
