AI Gains Traction in Türkiye: Enterprises and Individuals Embrace Technology

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining traction in Türkiye. In 2025, 9% of enterprises plan to use AI, and nearly one in five individuals already use generative AI tools. However, barriers and disparities in adoption exist.

The primary hurdle for enterprises adopting AI is a lack of relevant expertise, with 74.2% of respondents citing this. Interestingly, larger companies lead in AI usage, with around 35% of medium to large enterprises using it widely, particularly in automation and IT processes.

Among individuals, AI usage is highest among the young and well-educated. While 39.4% of those aged 16-24 use AI, only 2.2% of primary school graduates do. The majority, 79.7%, use AI for personal purposes, with 33.8% also using it professionally.

In enterprises, AI is most common in marketing and sales, with 46.5% of enterprises reporting its use. Larger enterprises and those in the information and communication sector have higher adoption rates. Overall, 7.5% of enterprises used AI in 2025, up from 2.7% in 2021. Lack of need is the primary reason for non-users, cited by 63.3% of non-AI users in Türkiye.

AI adoption in Türkiye is increasing, with enterprises and individuals recognising its potential. However, addressing the expertise gap and understanding the needs of smaller enterprises and less educated individuals will be crucial for broader AI integration.
