Ainsworth Game Tech's Profit Plummets Despite Revenue Boost

Ainsworth Game Technology has reported a significant drop in profit after tax for the first half of 2025, despite an increase in total revenue. The company's online division struggled, while international markets and domestic performance showed growth.

The total revenue for Ainsworth Game Technology in H1 2025 reached $98.3 million, marking a 25.3% increase year-over-year. However, profit after tax plummeted by 65% to $3.2 million. The online division contributed to this decline, with revenue falling 45.1% to $1.8 million.

International markets proved resilient, generating $78.4 million, a 15.9% increase. North America, Ainsworth's strongest driver, saw net revenue rise 22.4% to $53.7 million. Latin America and Europe combined delivered $20.4 million, up 7.8%. The domestic performance in Australia also showed strength, with revenue jumping 84.4% to $19.9 million.

In April 2025, Aristocrat Leisure Limited, through its subsidiary Novomatic AG Group, completed the acquisition of the remaining shares of Ainsworth Game Technology, gaining full ownership of the company. Despite the profit decrease, Ainsworth's international and domestic growth indicates potential for future recovery.
