Almost nine out of ten businesses in Mexico are integrating artificial intelligence into their operations
In the vibrant landscape of Mexico, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making a significant impact, reshaping both education and business sectors.
Guillermo Parás Treviño, an educational specialist at Kumon Mexico, has emphasised the increasing use of technological tools in learning. This shift is aimed at enhancing study and knowledge skills, as Kumon Mexico recently launched CONNECT, a digital platform that combines their methodology with technology, enabling flexible, autonomous learning.
The general manager of Kumon Operations in Mexico, Panama, and the Caribbean, highlighted the launch of CONNECT, which uses AI to personalise client information and provide 24/7 active AI chats, even extending to their mortgage simulator. Intelligent robots in SOC, for instance, fill out forms for procedures and provide personalised follow-up.
Laura Montoya, executive director of Corporate Relations at SOC, stated that AI allows SOC advisors to offer immediate, personalised, and high-quality services to clients. This is achieved through AI's ability to process large datasets and detect patterns.
Meanwhile, in the business world, Juan Lombana, founder of Mercatitlán, warned that AI will displace many workers. However, he also predicted that by 2026, nearly all companies will perform AI activities, with the commercial sector being the most permeated. Lombana advocated for young people to learn about AI, as he expects that enterprises such as CEMEX in Mexico will likely conduct 100% of their activities using AI by the same year.
Education in Mexico should incorporate technological tools like AI, according to Lombana. AI can displace workers in jobs such as data analysis and sales, but it can also create new opportunities in areas like AI development and maintenance. Therefore, it is crucial to prepare the future workforce to adapt to this technological revolution.
As of now, over 85% of companies in Mexico have incorporated AI into at least one of their processes. This trend is expected to continue, as AI transforms the way we learn and work, offering new possibilities and challenges for the future.
