The Echo Dot Max, an upgrade from the Echo Dot 5th Gen, packs a significant punch with a bass boost three times stronger than its predecessor. It also includes the new AZ3 chip, promising improved conversational recognition and interaction with Alexa. Noise filtering has been enhanced, and it supports 5.1 surround sound systems via Alexa Home Theater. However, the smart screen that was featured in the Echo Spot is absent in the Echo Dot Max.
The Echo Studio, Amazon's most powerful speaker to date, offers immersive 3D audio and Dolby Atmos support. Both new speakers feature ambient lighting, but the author wished for a more adventurous color range. AI-accelerated processing to run advanced KI models directly on the device was also not included, leaving room for future developments.
