Apple's iOS 15 Introduces Drive Focus for Safer Driving
Apple's iPhones have a feature called Drive Focus, introduced in iOS 15, designed to minimize distractions while driving. This feature, available on all iPhones supporting iOS 15 or later, including the iPhone 6s and newer models, replaces the previous Do Not Disturb mode and allows users to customize notifications based on their activity.
Drive Focus automatically activates when connected to a car via CarPlay or a Bluetooth hands-free device. Alternatively, users can manually enable it by opening the 'Control Center' and selecting the 'Drive' focus button. Once activated, Drive Focus mutes SMS messages and messenger apps, forwarding only important calls. It also notifies callers or other iPhone users that you're driving and may not see messages immediately.
Drive Focus can send automatic SMS replies to selected contacts when they call, with an option to mark messages as 'Urgent'. This ensures that users can stay focused on the road while still being reachable in case of emergencies.
