Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., a leading global cybersecurity solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Diego Arrabal as Vice President for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA). Arrabal, who has over two decades of experience leading high-performing, multicultural teams in the cybersecurity and technology sectors, will be based in Dubai and oversee operations in the EEMEA region.

Under Arrabal's leadership, Check Point will advance its prevention-first strategy, delivering AI-powered security that simplifies operations and strengthens resilience. This strategy is centred on the Infinity Platform, a unified cybersecurity architecture integrating hybrid mesh networks with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technology to deliver protection across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

The Infinity Platform's open garden ecosystem supports seamless third-party integration, reducing complexity for enterprises and enabling comprehensive threat prevention across diverse IT environments. AI co-pilots, AI agents that analyze extensive data from firewalls, logs, and threat intelligence feeds, prioritize risks intelligently, reduce false positives, and automate the remediation process. This is critical in combating sophisticated AI-powered attacks such as AI-evasion malware, generative phishing, and deepfake impersonations.

Sherif Seddik, President of International Sales at Check Point, stated that Arrabal's passion for customer success and experience in complex markets make him the right leader to scale Check Point's impact in the EEMEA region. Seddik expressed confidence that Arrabal will build strong, trust-based relationships with Check Point's customers, partners, and teams in the EEMEA region.

Arrabal, who most recently led VMware's Networking and Security business across EMEA, stated that security should not be a barrier but a business enabler in the current context. He believes that this approach will be key to enabling regional enterprises to leverage these AI-driven prevention technologies to stay ahead in a cybersecurity landscape increasingly threatened by advanced AI-enabled attacks.

The EEMEA region is undergoing rapid digital transformation, with governments and enterprises adopting AI, hybrid cloud, and connected infrastructure at scale. The appointment of Arrabal underscores Check Point's commitment to the EEMEA region amid escalating AI-driven threats, evolving regulations, and hybrid IT complexity.

Check Point's prevention-first, AI-powered security strategy, notably under the leadership of Arrabal in the EEMEA region, positions it as a leader in combating modern cyber threats. The company's recognition in Forrester's Zero Trust Platforms report (Q3 2025) highlights its comprehensive prevention-first platform that enforces least privilege access, segmentation, and centralized management across network, cloud, and endpoints—a critical component of their AI-driven prevention strategy.
