The new DJ requests feature enhances interactivity and personalization by enabling users to converse with the AI DJ. Instead of just selecting from pre-made playlists, users can now ask for different moods, genres, or artists through simple voice commands. This conversational AI interaction goes beyond traditional playlists, collecting a unique dataset that connects spoken language with song choices. This dataset enables Spotify to better understand user intent and preferences in real time, improving personalization dynamically based on natural language requests and contextual interaction.

To access DJ requests, users should go to the Search tab in the Spotify app and type "DJ". If users are unsure what they want, they can skip to the next vibe. To launch the AI DJ, users should simply tap play.
