In a celebration of its 30th anniversary, Citizen, one of the world's leading watchmakers, has announced the release of a limited-edition model under The Citizen premium sub-label. Known as the Citizen 30th Anniversary Eco-Drive AQ4106-26L, this watch stands out with its unique hand-dyed indigo Tosa washi paper dial, a testament to traditional Japanese craftsmanship and artistry.

The dial, created using the Murakumo shibori technique, showcases cloud-like patterns that are both visually stunning and distinctly Japanese. This traditional dyeing method involves compressing the paper before dyeing it in indigo, resulting in a one-of-a-kind dial for each watch. The use of indigo on Tosa washi paper not only highlights the artisanal skill but also enhances the dial’s visual texture and depth, giving the watch an elegant appeal that reflects Japanese artisanal excellence.

The Citizen 30th Anniversary Eco-Drive AQ4106-26L watch is more than just a cultural homage; it's also a symbol of exclusivity, with only 300 pieces available worldwide. The watch features a 38.3mm case made from Citizen's Super Titanium and treated with Duratect DLC coating, ensuring durability and a sleek, modern look. The crystal is an AR-coated dual-sphere sapphire, offering scratch resistance and clarity.

The watch's movement, the Eco-Drive Cal.A060 solar, is powered by Citizen's innovative Eco-Drive technology. This technology converts any light source into power, not just sunlight, providing the watch with a long-lasting power reserve of 18 months in power save mode. The watch's functions include a perpetual calendar, impact detection, and automatic hand correction, ensuring precision and reliability.

The watch is paired with a blue crocodile leather strap from a Leather Working Group-certified tanner, adding a touch of luxury to the timepiece. The watch is water-resistant to 100m, making it suitable for various activities.

The Citizen 30th Anniversary Eco-Drive AQ4106-26L watch will launch in August with a retail price of $3,300. For those who appreciate both traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, this limited-edition timepiece is a must-have. With its unique dial, premium materials, and advanced functions, it's a testament to Citizen's commitment to innovation, quality, and heritage.
