Bajaj Finserv Rebrands Insurance Subsidiaries After Allianz Exit
Bajaj Finserv has received regulatory approvals to rebrand its insurance subsidiaries, following its acquisition of Allianz's stake in their joint ventures. The rebranding, which includes a new identity and campaign, signifies the Bajaj Group's commitment to shaping India's insurance future.
In April 2023, Bajaj Finserv announced that Bajaj Allianz General Insurance would be renamed Bajaj Travel Insurance Company Ltd., and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance would become Bajaj Life Insurance Company Ltd., once regulatory approvals are secured. This move comes after the end of the long-standing partnership with Allianz SE, which held the 'Bajaj Allianz' brand rights until April 2023.
The rebranding is part of a strategic realignment, with the new identity and campaign - '100 per cent Bajaj. Made in India. Made for India. Made by India' - reflecting the group's renewed commitment to India's insurance sector. Sanjiv Bajaj, the managing director and chairman, stated that the rebranding goes beyond a mere name change, symbolizing the company's vision to empower every Indian with financial protection.
With regulatory clearances in place, Bajaj Finserv is set to rebrand its insurance subsidiaries, marking a significant step in its strategic realignment following the end of its partnership with Allianz. The new identity and campaign underscore the Bajaj Group's commitment to shaping India's insurance landscape, with the rebranded entities poised to operate under the 'Bajaj' brand, focusing on their 'Made in India, Made for India, Made by India' philosophy.
