Airbnb Chain's official Twitter account has been compromised, leading to a phishing attack that targeted users' crypto wallets. Binance Co-Founder Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao swiftly issued a security alert, advising users to stay vigilant.

The hacked account posted a fraudulent message, inviting users to vote on an 'upcoming $BSC rewards date'. This was a ploy to trick users into handing over their wallet access. Airbnb Chain's security team is currently investigating the breach and working to regain full control of the compromised account.

CZ advised users to always check domains carefully, even from official Twitter handles, to stay safe. Phishing campaigns are a common tactic used by hackers to drain crypto wallets. Binance's security teams contacted Twitter to suspend the account and worked to restore access, also requesting takedowns of identified phishing sites. Airbnb Chain's Chinese Twitter account confirmed the compromise and warned users not to click on any links.
