A significant number of respondents (69 votes) indicated they had e-readers not listed in the poll, suggesting a diverse and fragmented market beyond the top 5 brands. Kobo also planned to expand its app to the Playbook by RIM, HTC Tablet, and many more in 2011.
In conclusion, the e-reader market in 2011 was dominated by Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, Sony Reader, and Kobo.
