Bremen Leads at IAC 2025, Showcasing Sustainable Space Innovations
Bremen, affectionately known as the 'City of Space', is set to make a significant impact at the 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Sydney from September 29 to October 3, 2025. The Senator for Economy, Ports, and Transformation, Kristina Vogt, will lead the delegation, aiming to promote Bremen's space industry strengths and foster international partnerships.
The IAC, the world's premier space event, will focus on the theme 'Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth', providing a perfect platform for Bremen to showcase its commitment to sustainable space innovation. The city will present its space industry prowess with a joint stand alongside the German Aerospace Center (DLR), featuring local companies and research institutions working on eco-friendly solutions.
Kristina Vogt will engage with directors of the European Space Agency (ESA) and DLR, as well as represent Bremen at the International Meeting for Ministers and Members of Parliaments. While specific international partners for her meetings are yet to be confirmed, the event promises to deepen existing ties and forge new ones. Bremen's participation aligns with its Innovation Strategy 2030, which identifies the aerospace industry as a central future sector.
Bremen's strong presence at the IAC 2025 will not only promote the city as the host of the ESA Ministerial Conference 2025 but also highlight its dedication to sustainable space innovation. Through this event, Bremen aims to strengthen its international partnerships and discuss industry challenges, further cementing its status as a leading player in the global space industry.
