In the heart of Dublin 8, the Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC) continues to be a vibrant hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. With over 1,500 resident companies, the centre has been supporting start-ups and helping them grow for 25 years.

One of the key contributors to GEC's revenues is its resident start-ups, who collectively generate €2 million annually. Recently, the centre has invested in a major IT project and upgraded its conference rooms and event space to cater to the growing needs of its businesses.

Among the innovative companies based at the GEC are QuizWizards, The Safer Plug Company, and Archetype. QuizWizards, the latest addition to the centre, is a sports tech company specializing in gamified quizzes for fan engagement. They recently signed a deal with Leinster Rugby for unique fan engagement solutions.

The Safer Plug Company, on the other hand, develops pipeline isolation technology. Archetype is an events and experiences agency with a focus on communities and culture.

As start-ups grow, they eventually graduate from the GEC when their staff requirements exceed the space they occupy. Urban Fox, Mobility Mojo, Move Ahead, and Singular Artists are some of the companies graduating this year. Upon graduation, Urban Fox plans to grow from a team of 8 to 15, while Mobility Mojo expects to grow from 8 to 20 by the end of 2026.

The graduating companies anticipate significant team growth by the end of next year. The Centre Director, Niamh Collins, stated that the centre's goal is for resident companies to outgrow it, as they are nurturing the unicorns of tomorrow by providing a home for innovative businesses to succeed and grow.

Ms. Collins added that the GEC's success is measured by the success of its start-ups. The centre's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship is evident in its continued growth and the success of its resident companies. For those seeking detailed information on the number of start-ups graduated or notable success stories, it is recommended to consult the official GEC sources or their website, as these details are maintained by the organization directly.
