CATL's NING Service Expands Global New Energy Vehicle Aftermarket

CATL's NING Service, originally established in 2015 as CATL's After-Market Business Department, has evolved into an independent brand in 2024 and is now making significant strides in the global new energy vehicle (NEV) aftermarket.

After ten years of efforts, NING Service has built a robust presence across 75 countries, operating more than 1,100 service outlets and managing 67 spare parts warehouses with a total area exceeding 370,000 square meters. The service currently operates over 1,100 centers and provides technical support such as battery diagnostics, repair, refurbishment, and second-life testing primarily for CATL-made batteries.

Expansion Strategy

NING Service's expansion strategy focuses on establishing a closed-loop ecosystem in the global NEV aftermarket. This strategy involves opening flagship NING Service Experience Centers in multiple Chinese cities and internationally, partnering with high-quality industrial players to diversify into related business areas, and developing advanced technological services.

The service has already established flagship experience centers in seven domestic cities in China, including Wuhan and Guangzhou, and the store in Bangkok, Thailand, marks its first overseas location. NING Service's store in Bangkok, spanning over 2000 square meters and integrating CATL's global service standards, serves as a crucial step for CATL's global technology deployment and service coordination.

Innovative Services

NING Service addresses the pain points of NEV consumers by leveraging continuous innovation in battery maintenance technology. One such innovation is the non-destructive testing device, which utilizes ultrasonic guided wave technology and can complete fault detection in just 15 minutes without the need to disassemble the battery pack. This device is expected to be officially launched by the end of this year.

Another innovative service offered by NING Service is the CTP repair service. This service, which uses CATL original equipment components, strictly adheres to CATL's technical standards and quality requirements, and comes with official warranty coverage. The CTP repair service is significantly more affordable than full pack replacement, saving substantial repair costs for users and breaking the industry's "replace-only, no repair" deadlock for CTP batteries.

Impact on the Global NEV Aftermarket

NING Service's commitment to providing services that span the entire battery lifecycle includes a professional battery health assessment system with 45 online analyses and 28 offline inspections. This system helps users promptly identify potential risks, extend battery lifespan, and enhance transparency and residual value in the used vehicle market.

The service's expansion strategy has set a new industry benchmark by providing superior technical support and a comprehensive service ecosystem that enhances vehicle owners' after-sales experience.
