China's Yesil Technology Set to Establish Drone Production Facility in Kazakhstan

In a significant move for the Central Asian tech sector, Chinese subsidiary Yesil Technology, a division of Shaanxi Kaizhuo Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., has announced its entry into industrial unmanned drone manufacturing in Kazakhstan.

Yesil Technology, established in March 2024, specializes in developing communication links for unmanned aerial vehicles and producing ready-made devices. The company's focus is on low-altitude industries and solving key problems such as the limitation of unmanned aerial vehicles' flight range, the accuracy of intelligent obstacle avoidance, and the precision and stability of navigation.

The project, being done in cooperation with the Kazakh Invest national company, involves building a 50,000-square-meter industrial and research facility in the Almaty Region. The estimated cost of the project is around $12 million. The facility will include a battery manufacturing workshop, an innovative technology research center, full-cycle machine storage, an aviation testing station, and other facilities.

The initiative aims to boost industrial and innovative growth, as well as diversify Kazakhstan's economy. Yesil Technology's products will be distributed both locally in Kazakhstan and throughout Central Asia.

The head of Yesil Technology, Yongning Hui, stated that the company's products already have the ability to operate stably in challenging conditions and accurately perform tasks, providing calm and reliable aviation services. Yesil Technology aims to integrate advanced UAV technologies deeply into agricultural monitoring, environmental protection, special facilities protection, emergency rescue operations, and counteracting UAVs.

The exact number of employees expected to be generated by the start of manufacturing is 500. However, concrete, up-to-date data on Yesil Technology’s drone manufacturing costs, employment figures, product distribution, and primary R&D focuses are not publicly detailed in these search results or commonly accessible sources.

The map of the location of the project was designed by The Astana Times. The Kazakh Invest press service announced the project on Jan. 15, but no information about the source of the photo credit or the map was provided.

For precise data on Yesil Technology’s industrial drones, it is recommended to consult official company releases, industry reports on Kazakhstan’s tech sector, or direct contacts within the company or local industrial agencies.

Yesil Technology, with its focus on low-altitude industries, is investing in the development of industrial unmanned drones, aiming to expand its business in both the Kazakhstan and Central Asian finance sectors. The company's innovative technology research center and product distribution plan highlight its commitment to enhancing the local and regional industry landscape while promoting technological advancements in the finance, agriculture, environmental protection, and special facilities protection spheres.
