Citroën C5 Aircross Facelift: Comfortable, Practical Family SUV Updated

Citroën's C5 Aircross, a family SUV launched in 2017, has undergone a mid-life facelift. This French automobile manufacturer's model prioritises comfort and practicality, making it an appealing choice for families. Prices start from £26,670 for the petrol manual, rising to £35,735 for the plug-in hybrid.

The C5 Aircross stands out for its easy driving experience, with light steering and a wafting ride that prioritises passenger comfort. Its interior is spacious and quiet, with individual, slidable, and reclinable rear seats, perfect for families. The cabin boasts ample storage spaces and a large boot.

Powering the C5 Aircross are various engine options, including a 1.2-litre 130bhp petrol manual, a 1.2-litre 130bhp diesel auto, a 1.2-litre 48V mild hybrid, and a 1.6-litre petrol plug-in hybrid with up to 34 miles of EV range. The facelift in early 2022 brought enhanced tech and revised trim levels. By 2024, the 1.2-litre turbo engine and eight-speed transmission will be replaced with a quieter engine and a mild-hybrid dual-clutch six-speed gearbox.

The C5 Aircross competes with models like the Kia Sportage, Nissan Qashqai, Peugeot 3008, Seat Ateca, Skoda Karoq, and Vauxhall Grandland. Its focus on comfort, practicality, and affordability makes it a strong contender in the family SUV segment.
