In a strategic move to support the growth and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UAE, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has partnered with e& UAE. This collaboration, under the National In-Country Value (ICV) Program, is a significant step towards enhancing local industrial development as part of the UAE's Projects of the 50.

The partnership, which now includes 35 federal and local government entities and national companies, demonstrates e& UAE's commitment to driving industrial development and building local capabilities. Esam Mahmoud, Senior Vice President SMB Sales & Marketing at e& UAE, emphasised the company's role as a digital enabler for businesses across sectors.

Under the agreement, e& UAE will offer exclusive incentives to over 7,000 ICV-certified SMEs registered with MoIAT. These incentives include preferential rates on internet services, discounted mobile plans, digital payment solutions, and Microsoft productivity tools. These tailored packages aim to accelerate digital transformation and improve operational efficiency among local SMEs.

The collaboration is focused on several key objectives. It seeks to support local industrial growth, promote technological advancement, and strengthen economic resilience. By enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs, the partnership aims to boost local industrial development and economic resilience. The collaboration also seeks to drive technological progress by facilitating access to advanced digital tools and services.

The National ICV Program has already delivered significant economic benefits, with cumulative local expenditure reaching AED 347 billion by the end of 2024. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting SMEs as crucial drivers of economic growth in the UAE.

Her Excellency Salama Al Awadhi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Industrial Development Sector at MoIAT, supports the advancement of the National ICV Program. The partnership aims to empower SMEs with digital solutions that unlock new growth opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and support long-term success.

The agreement reaffirms e& UAE's dedication to advancing national priorities through impactful collaborations and future-focused solutions. This collaboration is expected to incentivize companies to obtain ICV certification, further reinforcing the UAE's commitment to developing local industries and fostering economic resilience.
