Collaborative Blueprint for a Diverse Social Landscape: 70 Delegates from 27 Organizations Collaborate on Dubai's Social Sector Plan for 2025-2033
Dubai has announced its new Social Sector Strategy, a bold initiative spanning from 2025 to 2033. The strategy's development is a participatory effort, with approximately 70 representatives from 27 local and federal government entities collaborating in a co-design workshop to ensure that it addresses real community needs through interactive dialogue and shared expertise.
The strategy development process is still ongoing and is expected to run through July and August. It is being held under the umbrella of Dubai Social Agenda 33 and Dubai Plan 2033, and will continue with workshops, interviews, and field visits.
In terms of technology and AI, the strategy emphasizes using these tools to reimagine social service delivery. The incorporation of digital transformation and AI is intended to enable faster, more precise social service responses and enhance the overall experience for users by tailoring support to societal needs effectively.
Additionally, related initiatives such as the launch of Dubai’s first Family Business Advisors Directory support family cohesion by providing specialized consultancy to family-owned enterprises, encouraging sustainable governance and long-term planning.
Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority (CDA), emphasized the importance of inclusive participation in building a more equitable and sustainable social future.
