Commencement of presales for Geely Galaxy's M9 Hybrid SUV scheduled for August 23rd.

The Geely Galaxy M9, a six-seat hybrid SUV, is set to make its pre-sales debut on August 23 in Shanghai. This full-size plug-in hybrid vehicle has been making waves in the automotive industry with its impressive features and advanced technology.

Powerful Performance and Efficiency

The M9 is powered by Geely's Electric Architecture (GEA) and the new-generation Leishen EM super hybrid system. It boasts a strong powertrain that can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds. The vehicle offers two battery options: an 18.4 kWh pack for approximately 85 km of electric range and a 41.5 kWh battery for about 185 km.

Advanced AI Capabilities

The M9 is more than just a high-performance vehicle; it's also a showcase of cutting-edge AI technology. Geely claims that the M9 is equipped with the first AI-powered cockpit, providing an advanced driving experience. This AI-powered cockpit is based on StepFun's Step-Audio end-to-end voice large language model, which will make the M9 the first model to feature Agent OS.

The Agent OS smart cockpit, unveiled by Geely Auto and Chinese AI startup StepFun at the 2025 World AI Conference in Shanghai last month, promises a more natural, more knowledgeable, and more emotional new cockpit interaction experience.

In addition to the AI-powered cockpit, the M9 also comes with the G-Pilot H5 driver assistance system. This system includes LAR (Lane Assistance Radar) and multiple cameras and radars for navigation. It allows for advanced driving assistance features that enhance safety and convenience.

Size and Comfort

The M9 measures 5205 mm in length, 1999 mm in width, and 1800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3030 mm. It is a three-row SUV, with the third-row seats capable of reclining up to 150 degrees for enhanced comfort.

A New Player in the Hybrid Market

The M9 is expected to compete with other hybrid vehicles such as the Aito M9, Denza N9, and Li Auto's Li L9. With its powerful performance, advanced AI capabilities, and comfortable size, the M9 is poised to make a significant impact in the hybrid vehicle market.

Geely Auto, the sub-brand behind the M9 model, debuted the vehicle on May 22 in Milan, Italy, coinciding with the brand exceeding 1 million sales. The company saw strong sales growth this year, selling 643,451 vehicles in January-July, up 253.77 percent year-on-year.

The pre-sales event for the M9 will be held in Shanghai, offering potential buyers a chance to experience this innovative hybrid SUV firsthand. With its combination of power, technology, and comfort, the Geely Galaxy M9 is sure to attract attention in the competitive hybrid vehicle market.
