The Titaner Tiroler 2.0, a coin-sized analog measuring tool, has been unveiled by Titaner, offering an enhanced version of their popular device. This versatile tool is designed to measure both straight and contoured surfaces, making it an ideal alternative to digital measuring solutions.

The Tiroler 2.0 is crafted from **aerospace-grade GR5 titanium**, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. It operates by rolling along a surface, where each full revolution corresponds to either 10 cm or 5 inches, depending on the model. The device features a satisfying clicking mechanism that offers both auditory and tactile feedback[1][2].

### Improvements Over the Original Model

The new model boasts several improvements over the original, including a **PTFE-infused lubricating filament system** that replaces the original's simple lubrication system, enhancing its smooth operation[1]. Additionally, the **viewing window** has been moved from the bottom to the top for improved readability. The device also offers better grip on slick surfaces, thanks to a removable silicone O-ring[1].

### Features

The Tiroler 2.0 offers a unique tactile experience, making it enjoyable for use as a fidget tool[2]. It is also suitable for measuring curved or irregular surfaces, which can be challenging for digital tools like apps[2]. The device includes a hole for attaching a lanyard or transforming it into a zipper pull, making it portable[1].

### Customisation Options

The Tiroler 2.0 is available in blue, yellow, and five different O-ring colours for customisation. A glow-in-the-dark O-ring option is also available[1]. The device is offered in two versions – metric and imperial – with the planned retail prices being $108 for the metric version and $128 for the imperial model[3].

The Tiroler 2.0 aims to address issues users had with the original model, which raised nearly $250,000 on Kickstarter. Early bird pricing for the Tiroler 2.0 on Kickstarter is $55 for the metric version and $65 for the imperial model[4]. The estimated delivery date for the Tiroler 2.0 is September[5].

With its combination of practicality, unique tactile experience, and customisation options, the Titaner Tiroler 2.0 is set to revolutionise the way users measure distances.
