Content Monetization Now Available for Telegram Channel Owners

Telegram, the popular messaging app, has rolled out a series of new features aimed at enhancing user experience and monetisation opportunities for content creators.

One of the key additions is the introduction of a new feature that allows creators to share paid content directly through the platform. This feature utilises Telegram's digital currency, Stars, for purchasing digital goods from bots and mini-apps. This means that users can now support their favourite content creators and enjoy premium content without leaving the app.

Another significant update is the addition of the hashtag and location tag features for discovering stories within the app. These features enable users to find stories based on specific topics or locations, providing a new way for users to explore and engage with content.

In addition, a Mini App bar has been introduced for easier access to mini-apps without frequent reloading. This streamlines the process of accessing mini-apps within the Telegram platform, making it more user-friendly.

Channel owners can convert Stars, which users earn for engaging with content, into Toncoin, a cryptocurrency operating on The Open Network (TON) blockchain. Toncoin can be traded on various exchanges or converted directly into bank accounts, offering creators a new avenue for earning from their work.

The use of Stars for discounts on ads is an additional benefit for users who earn them. This helps channels in their promotional efforts, as users can unlock exclusive content on channels using Stars.

These new features are part of Telegram's ongoing updates and aim to create a more engaging and user-friendly experience within the app. The updates also provide opportunities for creators to monetise their own content through the use of Stars.

The Mini-App-Bar and hashtag/location tag features are not the only new additions. Telegram has also introduced a new feature that allows users to support their favourite content creators, further strengthening the platform's commitment to fostering a vibrant and diverse content ecosystem.
