New Dacia Duster Pick-Up Unveiled in UK Market

Dacia has expanded its Duster lineup with the introduction of a four-seat dual-cab pickup version. The new Duster Pick-Up shares the same footprint as the standard Duster, with dimensions of 4,345 mm (171.1 inches) in length, 1,813 mm (71.4 inches) in width, and 1,656 mm (65.2 inches) in height.

The Duster Pick-Up is the result of a partnership with Romturingia, a Romanian company known for building pickup conversions of previous Duster generations. It falls under the N1 light commercial vehicle category.

The cargo area of the Duster Pick-Up has a maximum loading length of 1,050 mm (41.3 inches), a width of 1,000 mm (39.4 inches), and a payload capacity of 430 kg (948 pounds). The cargo area is lined with plastic trim along the floor and sides, finished off with a custom downward-opening tailgate. A removable load cover is also available for cargo privacy.

Power for the Duster Pick-Up comes from two electrified options: the mild-hybrid 130 with all-wheel drive or the front-wheel-drive Hybrid 140. The starting price for the mild-hybrid 4x4 powertrain is £22,995 ($31,400) in the UK. The hybrid 155 powertrain has a starting price of £23,595 ($32,200) in the UK.

In terms of trims, buyers can choose from three options: Expression, Extreme, and Journey, which carry over the same equipment as the SUV. The Duster Cargo, a variant of the Duster for the UK market, is exclusively available in the Expression trim.

The Duster Pick-Up is currently only available in Romania, with a starting price of €25,983 ($30,800) excluding VAT. It's not clear if the Duster Pick-Up will reach other markets. The regular Duster starts at €17,200 ($20,400) in the same market, but the pickup conversion is built on higher-spec versions and isn't offered with the entry-level non-electrified powertrain.

The Duster Cargo's boot has a capacity of 1,030 lt (36.4 cubic feet) when measured to the roof, with an extra 119 lt (4.2 cubic feet) under the floor. The cargo area is smaller due to the dual-cab configuration.

The new Duster Pick-Up features a new bulkhead with a flat rear window to separate passengers from cargo. The Duster Cargo is available to order in the UK, while a similar double-cab pickup version, the Renault Duster Oroch, is marketed in South American countries such as Brazil and Argentina. The Oroch is not sold under the Dacia name outside Romania. Expansion of the Dacia Duster Pick-Up to other European countries has not been announced yet.

The Duster Pick-Up is now available for purchase in Romania.
