Dacia Unveils Facelifted Sandero and Stepway for 2026 With New Tech and Powertrains
Dacia has unveiled the facelifted Sandero and Sandero Stepway for the 2026 model, featuring a range of updates and new technologies. The popular budget-friendly models receive a refreshed design, enhanced powertrains, and improved features.
The facelifted Sandero and Stepway sport a revised front view with LED light signatures, revised radiator grilles, and bumpers. Inside, new interior fabrics are introduced, with entry-level versions offering black or light blue upholstery and top trims featuring Microcloud TEP in green and black. Higher trims come standard with a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen and wireless smartphone integration.
The Sandero Stepway introduces an electrified powertrain with the Hybrid 155, combining a 1.8-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery. The facelifted Sandero receives an updated three-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 100 PS (74 kW), while both models now offer an Eco-G 120 variant with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo producing 120 PS (88 kW). Volkswagen is set to advance the technology of the Dacia Spring with more powerful drivetrains and improved battery systems for the 2026 model year.
The facelifted Sandero Stepway features a dark trim strip between the taillights for a robust appearance, and enlarged LPG tanks increase range in gas mode by 20 percent.
The 2026 Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway facelifts bring a refreshed design, improved powertrains, and enhanced features. The introduction of the Hybrid 155 in the Stepway and the updated engine options in the Sandero, along with the advanced technology from Volkswagen for the Dacia Spring, position these models well for the future.
