His journey includes managing the Transparent Factory in Dresden, overseeing the start of ID.3 production, and leading the assembly plant in Pekan, Malaysia, where he produced models like Passat, Tiguan, Polo, Vento, and Jetta.
In 2020, Auerswald spoke at the Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain Live conference about production transformation and supply chain streamlining. His most recent role was leading production at the VW Group's plant in Bratislava since 2022.
