Computex 2025 kicks off, and the action is hotter than a summer sun! Check out our Day Zero coverage here, or stay up-to-date with our dedicated Computex 2025 hub.
Outrageous Cases Tempt Us
Computex serves as a platform for case manufacturers to flaunt their upcoming retail products, outrageous concepts, and limited-edition models. InWin's ChronoMancy, a four-foot tall beast, caught our eye. This massive case, resembling an undersea relic, opens via hand wave or a simple button press. The ChronoMancy can fit E-ATX motherboards and the latest Nvidia RTX 50 Series graphics cards.
InWin showcased several other captivating cases, including the WIEW, COVALENT, TACTIX, SHIFT, and DLITE.
Hyte's X50 case, available in vibrant red (aka Cherry), also grabbed our attention, boasting rounded corners and a softer aesthetic than usual. This beauty supports up to ten fans, a 360 mm radiator, and accommodates full-size ATX power supplies. The X50 Air, bearing the same design, features micro-mesh side panels instead of laminated glass and goes on sale this summer for $149.99, while the X50 will be cheaper at $119.99.
If retro charm is your thing, set your sights on SilverStone's FLP02. Inspired by '80s/early '90s tower cases, this beauty flaunts an off-white color and faux 5.25-inch floppy drives. But don’t be deceived—this classic beauty houses all the latest hardware, including high-performance graphics cards. The FLP02 is slated to hit stores during the second half of 2025 for $220.
New Gaming Laptops and Portable Gaming
Speaking of beefed-up rigs, Razer unleashed the new Blade 14, the thinnest iteration ever, measuring just 15.7mm at its thinnest point. Despite its svelte profile, this powerhouse boasts RTX 5070 or 5060 GPUs, an ultra-powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor, and up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory. The 14-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED display offers an astonishing 120Hz refresh rate with Nvidia G-Sync support. Prices start at $2,299.99 for the RTX 5060 variant.
MSI showcased four new gaming laptops with 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch displays, each boasting a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. By carefully tweaking combinations, you can opt for RTX 5060/5070 GPUs, AMD Ryzen 8000 or Core Ultra 200 HX processors, and up to 96GB of DDR5-6400 memory.
For portable gaming enthusiasts, MSI's Claw A8 shines with a Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, RDNA 3 graphics, and support for up to 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory. This pocket-sized powerhouse features a substantial 80WHr battery, two USB-C ports, a microSD reader, and a fingerprint reader. It also supports M.2 2280 SSDs, eliminating hassles over less common sizes.
