Desigual's Latin America Expansion: 2,817 New Jobs, €440M Revenue in 2010
Catalan fashion retailer Desigual is making waves in Latin America. By the end of 2010, the company had boosted its workforce to 2,817 employees, a whopping 56% increase from the previous year. This growth is part of Desigual's ambitious expansion plan, with the company eyeing a 20% sales increase in 2011.
Desigual's Latin American push began in 2012 with the opening of two stores in Colombia, in Medellín and Cartagena de Indias. The company has since announced plans to open more stores in Colombia, as well as in the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Panama. This expansion is part of Desigual's broader strategy to grow in the Latin American market.
The company's growth is reflected in its financials. In 2010, Desigual registered a turnover of 440 million euros. This success has fuelled Desigual's confidence in its expansion plans, with the company aiming to open new stores in Mexico, Peru, and Chile in addition to its existing Latin American presence.
Desigual's expansion into Latin America is gathering pace. With a significant increase in employees and a robust sales growth strategy, the company is poised to make a substantial impact in the region. Its plans to open new stores in multiple countries signal a commitment to long-term growth in the Latin American market.
