Diggerland: The Heavy Machinery Theme Park Experience
Diggerland, a unique theme park dedicated to heavy machinery, has been entertaining visitors in West Berlin, New Jersey since June 2014. Unlike traditional theme parks, Diggerland offers a hands-on history with construction equipment, attracting enthusiasts and families alike.
At Diggerland, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities centered around heavy machinery. The main attraction is a 25-ton excavator, where guests can sit in its bucket and spin around. For those seeking smaller challenges, there are mini excavators and compact tractors to drive over a course. Other thrilling rides include telescopic handlers lifting visitors high into the air, excavator bucket carousels, vibrating roller rides, and steep dump truck inclines. Visitors can also co-drive or enjoy rides on various machines such as excavators, rollers, dump trucks, and tractors. The park often features machines from the British construction equipment manufacturer JCB, and even showcases the world's fastest excavator loader with around 1,000 HP.
To keep cool between activities, visitors can head to the connected water park. Entry to Diggerland costs around $45 per day, and the park's newsletter is available for subscription, with an unsubscribe option in each newsletter.
Diggerland offers a unique and interactive experience for visitors, focusing on heavy machinery instead of traditional roller coasters. With a variety of activities and a connected water park, it provides a fun day out for both enthusiasts and families. The park's dedication to heavy machinery and its hands-on approach sets it apart from other theme parks.
