Dott Expands 24/7 Micromobility in West of England from October 1
Dott, the shared micromobility operator, is set to expand its services in the West of England. From October 1, e-scooters and bikes will operate 24/7 in Bristol, Bath, and South Gloucestershire, benefiting night shift workers in hospitals and hospitality sectors. Emma Latham, Dott's regional manager, announced this move, which will make the West of England the latest city to offer round-the-clock micromobility services, following in the footsteps of Nottingham, Paris, and Berlin.
Dott's expansion aims to increase flexibility for users, particularly those working in the night-time economy. The initiative comes after the success of the Scoot Safe campaign, which has seen over 4,500 fines issued for poor parking, resulting in a reported reduction of nearly one-third in four weeks. To ensure safe and responsible riding, Dott is reinforcing in-app messaging and providing online training through its Safety School. Additionally, Dott plans to increase the number of marked bicycle parking bays in collaboration with local councils.
Emma Latham, the person behind this expansion, believes that e-bikes and e-scooters are an important and growing part of the transport mix in the West of England. Dott has been operating in the region in partnership with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, and this expansion is expected to further enhance the region's micromobility offerings.
From October 1, Dott's e-scooters and e-bikes will operate 24/7 in Bristol, Bath, and South Gloucestershire. This expansion aims to increase flexibility for users and follows the success of the Scoot Safe campaign. Dott is committed to promoting safe and responsible riding through in-app messaging, online training, and increased bicycle parking bays.
