Dubai's WETEX 2025 to Showcase Electric Vehicles and Sustainable Transport

Dubai's 27th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) is set to take place from 30 September to 2 October 2025. This year's event, organized by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), reinforces Dubai's commitment to reducing emissions and enhancing energy efficiency in the transport sector, supporting its Net Zero 2050 Strategy and Green Mobility Strategy 2030.

WETEX 2025 will focus on electric vehicles and sustainable transport, showcasing a record number of local and international companies. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and Chairman of WETEX, highlights the exhibition's role in enhancing competitiveness in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. DEWA, in partnership with other entities, is building infrastructure to support sustainable transport, including over 1,500 charging points through its EV Green Charger initiative.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will unveil projects such as zero-emission buses, a Green Fleet Classification System, and a Public Transport Sustainability Roadmap at the event. Private sector leaders, including Gargash Group, AW Rostamani, and Charger, along with several EV manufacturers, will launch products and partnerships. Faraday Future is set to present its FX Super One EV on October 28, 2025. The event will also highlight advances in hydrogen, low-emission fuels, and artificial intelligence for EV adoption and infrastructure development. This surge in interest comes as UAE EV sales surged by 260% in 2024, positioning Dubai as a hub for sustainable mobility solutions.

WETEX 2025, with its focus on electric vehicles and sustainable transport, is a testament to Dubai's ambition to reduce emissions and enhance energy efficiency. The event brings together local and international companies, showcasing the latest innovations and driving the emirate's green mobility goals.
