Dynacord TGX series amplifiers fortify the audio system for Glastonbury's Avalon Stage, provided by TW AUDiO.
At this year's Glastonbury Festival, the Avalon Stage's sound system was a standout success, thanks to the expertise of WaveCo Productions and their choice of high-quality equipment.
For the past four years, WaveCo has been relying on WaveCo's sound and lighting systems for the Avalon Stage, and this year was no exception. The key components of the sound system included Dynacord TGX series amplifiers, TW AUDiO VERA36 vertical array speakers, and VERA S33 subwoofers.
The Dynacord TGX amplifiers, praised by Iain Rendle, director at WaveCo Productions, for their power and reliability, provided the backbone for the system. Approximately 20 of these amplifiers were used to power the system, with TGX20 amplifiers covering the bass and TGX10 amplifiers powering the VERA36 and T24N enclosures.
The TW AUDiO VERA36 vertical array speakers were selected for the main hangs and delays, while the VERA S33 subwoofers provided low frequency reinforcement. Tobias Goldmann, head of support at TW AUDiO, expressed his appreciation for the stability and speed of the SONICUE Sound System Software, which was used to manage the system.
SONICUE, a software by Dynacord, facilitated comprehensive control and optimization of the audio setup, making it easy for WaveCo to make quick tweaks to the outfills and delays during the festival. Iain Rendle found the monitoring capabilities of SONICUE fantastic, while Greg Oliver, head of operations, sales and support for TW AUDiO UK, mentioned that the combination of Dynacord amplifiers and TW AUDiO loudspeakers gives a big, full, and warm sound.
James Cooper, field sales engineer at Dynacord, expressed satisfaction working alongside the TW AUDiO team to ensure WaveCo was getting the best out of the sound system. Goldmann highlighted that the SONICUE and Dynacord infrastructure is reliable for setting up a stable sound system quickly.
Cooper concluded that the Avalon Stage had never sounded better, attributing this to great gear and master technicians. The combination of SONICUE Sound System Software, Dynacord amplifiers, and TW AUDiO loudspeakers served the eclectic mix of artists well over three days, ensuring a memorable musical experience for all.
