New Pandigital Novel E-Reader/Tablet Hits the Market

Pandigital, a company known for its e-readers and tablets, has released a new device called the Pandigital AW-NU7. This new offering is a follow-up to the Pandigital Novel, which faced firmware issues and recalls in the past.

The latest device, available for sale via QVC for $213.00, features a full-color resistive touchscreen display, similar to its predecessor. It also supports MP3, AAC, and Wav audio formats, as well as JPEG, BMP, PNG, and GIF picture formats. The device has 2 GB of internal memory to store around one thousand ebooks and comes with a 4GB microSD memory card.

The Pandigital AW-NU7 also boasts built-in WI-FI that allows you to access the Barnes and Noble eBook Store. It's worth noting that the device only supports MPG4 video format. The device has a headphone jack for private listening, but the specifications, features, and version of Android on the Pandigital AW-NU7 have not been disclosed.

The name Pandigital AW-NU7 may confuse customers, as it shares the same name as the previous offering. This behavior of releasing devices with similar names fits Pandigital's modus operandi. The similarity in names may not be market-friendly and may not inspire catchy phrases from marketing departments.

The availability of the Pandigital AW-NU7 for sale is not discussed in the available information. Despite the lack of explicit specs or reviews, the device's recent release date and low price point suggest it might be a budget device. Further detailed specifications or official announcements from Pandigital would be needed for a comprehensive comparison.

The original Pandigital Novel, which debuted with firmware problems and recalls, is now available for sale. The source of this information is QVC, as reported by Android Community. The new 9 inch version of the Pandigital Novel is expected to be a larger version of the original, as there are only size differences to differentiate the two devices.
