Ather Energy, an Indian electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has furthered its footprint in the global market with the introduction of its electric scooter, the Ather Rizta, in Nepal. This follows the company's successful expansion into Sri Lanka, where they have set up 19 Experience Centres and 9 Service Centres.

In India, Ather Energy has built a wide-reaching network, boasting over 400 Experience Centres and nearly 4,000 charging points nationwide. The company's international ambitions continue to grow, with its entry into Nepal and Sri Lanka marking a significant step forward.

The Ather Rizta is designed for families and urban commuters, offering a smooth and efficient ride with its 4.3 kW PMSM motor. The scooter's power delivers a top speed of around 80 km/h and a range of 123 km to 160 km per charge, depending on the variant and usage conditions.

Comfort is a top priority for the Ather Rizta, featuring the longest seat in its segment for maximum rider and pillion comfort, a passenger backrest, footrest, and a carry hook. Ample underseat storage capacity of 34 to 56 liters, enough to fit a full-face helmet, ensures practicality for daily use.

Safety features such as disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, and Ather's version of traction control called "Skid Control," ensure a secure ride. The scooter also comes with built-in Google Maps navigation and Bluetooth call/music control for added convenience.

In terms of smart features, the Ather Rizta is equipped with a digital instrument console, WiFi connectivity, navigation, call/SMS alerts, roadside assistance, anti-theft alarm, USB charging port, music control, over-the-air updates, Alexa skills, Google Maps integration, and several rider assistance features like AutoHold, Auto Indicator Cut-off, Guide-me-home lights, and emergency stop signal.

Ather's expansion in Nepal has been swift and steady. The company has installed 22 fast-charging points under its Ather Grid network in Nepal. The Ather Rizta is now available for test rides and purchase across its Nepalese Experience Centres.

The Ather Rizta's combination of motor efficiency, smart connectivity, comfortable design, and safety features makes it a competitive modern electric scooter in its price segment, ranging from approximately ₹75,999 to ₹1.66 lakh ex-showroom. Ather is aiming to win over a wider audience in Nepal looking for a practical and modern electric mobility solution.

This marks Ather Energy's second product in the Nepalese market, following the successful launch of the Ather 450X in 2021. With its extensive network in India and growing presence in international markets, Ather Energy continues to cement its position as a leading player in the electric mobility sector.
