Electronic Cooling Devices Unveiled by MTTE for Dispensation in 2025
At the NUFAM 2023 exhibition in Karlsruhe, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Transport Europe GmbH (MTTE) is showcasing its full-electric refrigeration units portfolio for commercial vehicles. These innovative units, designed for high-quality constant-temperature transportation, are ideal for last-mile delivery and other urban environments where emissions regulations are strict.
Electric-Driven Refrigeration Units for Sustainable Transport
The new electric refrigeration units run entirely on electricity, eliminating direct emissions during operation and contributing to emission-free transport solutions. Key features of these units include electric-driven operation, high-quality temperature control, integration with battery and power electronic systems, and the potential for regenerative or auxiliary charging.
MTTE's Focus on Electrification and Hydrogen Drives
MTTE's strategy for the electrification of its product portfolio includes a focus on hydrogen drives, aligning with the broader industry trend towards electrification in refrigerated trailers and trucks. The company aims to enable locally emission-free refrigerated transport, especially in urban and regional distribution.
Exhibition Highlights at NUFAM 2023
In addition to the electric refrigeration units, MTTE is also presenting a MAN box truck with a TU diesel underfloor unit, a MAN tractor with the new full-electric TEU machine, and a van with the TEK electric unit. The diesel version TU of the Preciso underfloor series is included in the exhibition.
Moreover, MTTE is showcasing its cooling technology in real vehicle applications in the outdoor area of NUFAM 2023. The new full-electric trailer refrigeration unit TEF 1500, available with an external battery, is also being introduced.
NUFAM 2023: A Hub for Digitalization and Training
NUFAM 2023 will focus on digitalization and training in the commercial vehicle industry. The event will feature a special exhibition on hydrogen drives and a digital preview. NUFAM 2023 will also have a new outdoor area.
MTTE's Managing Director, Björn Reckhorn, stated that the company's portfolio meets the demand for economical and environmentally friendly solutions for transport cooling and actively supports customers in decarbonizing their refrigerated vehicle fleets.
Expanding Service Network and Product Availability
MTTE is also expanding its service network and product availability in Europe, making its electric refrigeration units more accessible to transport companies that want to decarbonize their fleets while ensuring operational capability in urban areas.
Visitors at NUFAM 2023 can find MTTE's exhibition at Hall 2, Stand D 206. The company's new target group for its electric product lines includes transport companies focused on decarbonization and operational capability in urban areas.
With these innovative electric refrigeration units, MTTE is taking a significant step towards emission-free commercial vehicle transport, helping companies comply with stricter emissions standards and meet sustainability goals in supply chain operations.
