Emovis Boosts ViasChile's Highway Efficiency with New Operational Back Office Solution

Emovis has started implementing its Operational Back Office (OBO) system for ViasChile, aiming to boost productivity and data management on the country's highways. The contract, signed in May 2024, marks the latest milestone in Emovis' decade-long history of providing free-flow tolling systems.

The Emovis OBO system, designed to manage high data volumes with minimal human intervention, will be tailored to ViasChile's specific needs. This scalable system can accommodate any type of roadside system and is set to enhance transaction processing efficiency. The project is part of ViasChile's Operational Domain Design Project, led by multiple teams including the Commercial Operation Area, Technology and Innovation team, and Processes and Environment Area.

The first phase of the 18-month implementation began in July 2024. Emovis will support ViasChile throughout the process, from defining business rules to integrating the OBO system with third-party systems. The new system will initially affect Autopista Central, the largest urban highway in Santiago.

Emovis' OBO system, Emovis Qualify, ensures 100% management of transactions sent by roadside systems using various robots and algorithms. With a 10-year history of successful implementations for clients like Metropistas in Puerto Rico and A25 in Canada, Emovis is confident in its ability to meet ViasChile's needs. The company's CEO, Christian Barrientos, has stated that the OBO system is designed for high data volume management with minimal manual intervention, continually innovative, and tailored to local client needs.
