Equinix & Axiz Team Up to Expand Data Centre Reach in Africa
Equinix, a global leader in digital infrastructure, has partnered with Axiz, a prominent African technology distributor, to expand its reach in South Africa and beyond. The collaboration aims to provide secure, sustainable, and interconnected data centre solutions to businesses across the continent.
The partnership, spearheaded by Equinix's Managing Director Sandile Dube, will grant Axiz's clients access to Equinix's Johannesburg IBX data centre (JN1), Equinix Fabric®, and the global Equinix ecosystem. This combination of Axiz's local market presence and Equinix's global infrastructure is set to unlock new opportunities for African businesses.
Axiz's CEO, Craig Brunsden, views this alliance as a means to offer partners reliable colocation and interconnection services that meet global standards. Carissa Singh, Equinix's Partner Sales Leader for South Africa, anticipates simplified routes to market for resellers through this collaboration.
