Exhibitor Preview for NAB Show 2025: Focus on ENCO Solutions
** TV Tech Redraft:**
Keeping Up with the Future: What can we expect to see as the hottest tech trends at the 2025 NAB Show? Let's dive in!
Ken Frommert: AI has been the driving force behind countless advancements in the broadcast landscape, opening up opportunities for better storytelling, enhanced workflow efficiency, and exciting new revenue streams. At ENCO, we've consistently led the charge in AI technology, and at this year's show, we'll demonstrate how these innovations can revolutionize audience engagement, accessibility, and real-time content delivery in broadcasting.
From leveraging AI and machine learning within our live captioning and translation solutions to employing generative AI for creating customized, localized, and personalized content, ENCO demonstrates how these breakthroughs can drastically transform the way broadcasters interact with their viewers. I can't wait to see the innovations other companies are working on and how they're pushing the envelope in content creation, distribution, and interaction across the industry.
Product News: So, what's the buzz?
KF: On the television side of our business, we'll exhibit our captioning, translation, and virtual production systems. In the West Hall at W1743, you'll find our Qimera virtual production stage on display.
This year, we'll introduce revolutionary dynamic speaker identification capabilities to our captioning workflow. Using a new AI-powered voice fingerprinting feature, we'll be able to dynamically insert the name of the speaker as they are identified, providing an unprecedented level of accessibility and context for live broadcasting. These identifications will also feed into our translations powered by the enTranslate solution.
Last year, we introduced the ability to produce Spanish translations on-premises, and this year, we'll showcase enTranslate's capacity for translating dozens of languages live, either on-premises or in the cloud. We'll also unveil enTranslate Mobile, an audiences-friendly alternative to large translation screens for live events, allowing attendees to follow along on their personal devices in their preferred language.
At the NAB Show, we'll provide accurate, real-time captions on stage-adjacent displays on five NAB stages across the South and West Halls. For the first time, ENCO will offer real-time translations directly to mobile devices through its enTranslate Mobile platform. Attendees can scan displayed QR codes to access a mobile site, where they can select from languages like English, Spanish, French, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, and German, and follow along with live translations on their mobile devices for an unparalleled audience experience.
How We Stand Out: What sets ENCO apart from the competition?
KF: Our commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries sets us apart. While AI has been a cornerstone of our enCaption platform for some time, we've taken it to the next level by partnering with Benztown and Compass Media Networks to introduce generative AI into radio advertising. The result, SPECai, has transformed the way radio broadcasters create and sell ads, boosting efficiency and redefining what's possible.
The same innovative mindset permeates our captioning and translation tools, where features like dynamic speaker identification and on-premises translations give us a competitive edge.
Why We Return to the NAB Show: So, why do we keep coming back to the NAB Show every year?
KF: The answer is simple – it's all about the connections. NAB offers the perfect platform for meaningful, face-to-face conversations where we can truly listen, understand our customers' goals, and align our solutions with their rapidly evolving needs. Most importantly, these discussions often spark fresh ideas that lead to the next wave of innovation for our customers. The energy at the show floor is infectious, and we look forward to experiencing it every year.
