The Von Mack Agency, a leading full-service tourism marketing firm based in New Orleans, is on the hunt for a skilled Programming & Automation Specialist to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time, on-site role in the heart of Louisiana's vibrant city.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience with WordPress, custom websites, and WP Engine administration, as well as a deep knowledge of PHP-based Legacy CMS systems. They will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the employer's Custom CMS, managing and updating it as needed.
In this role, the candidate will spearhead and develop end-to-end automations, connect data sources, design interactive dashboards, schedule automated report deliveries, and iterate on metrics to surface actionable insights. They will also lead campaign tracking, setup, and optimization, and onboard new clients in Teamwork CMS.
The candidate's proficiency in modern programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar, is essential for building, maintaining, and optimizing automation workflows. They should also have experience with automation tools and frameworks, including scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and robotic process automation (RPA).
API integration is another key skill required, as the candidate will be expected to integrate and manage various APIs for communication, data transfer, and service orchestration. They will also need a firm grasp of data analytics and measurement, implementing tracking mechanisms like pixels and UTM parameters, configuring analytics events, and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
The candidate should be familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices for deployment, monitoring, and scaling automated solutions. They should also possess an aptitude for diagnosing and resolving technical issues in automated systems and workflows.
Strong communication skills are a must, as the candidate will need to work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and data analysis. They will also be responsible for maintaining clear documentation of automation architectures, code, and processes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
While not essential, experience with unified communications platforms like Vonage, AI and Machine Learning basics, and Agile Practices would be advantageous. The candidate should also be flexible to support rare situations outside standard hours.
