Flutter Entertainment Reports Strong Q2 2025 Performance, Outpaces MGM in Online Revenue

Flutter Entertainment, the global online betting, gaming, and entertainment giant, has announced its Q2 2025 financial results, showcasing a robust performance across various segments. The company reported a 16% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching approximately $4.19 billion.

The strong performance was driven by a 25% climb in Adjusted EBITDA, which now stands at $919 million, yielding a 21.9% margin. Notably, Flutter's iGaming revenue jumped 42% to $507 million.

In the United States, Flutter's market presence, led by FanDuel, continues to be significant with large sportsbook and iGaming market shares. The U.S. segment is expected to generate nearly half of the total revenue and about one-third of adjusted EBITDA.

However, Flutter revised its U.S. revenue guidance downward from $7.47-$7.97 billion to $7.19-$7.69 billion. The adjusted EBITDA projections for the U.S. were also lowered, now estimated between $1.1 billion and $1.34 billion.

In comparison to Flutter, MGM leads in total revenue, reporting $4.4 billion for Q2 and $8.7 billion for the first half of the year. MGM's expansive land-based operations in the U.S. and Asia contribute to this advantage.

Despite MGM's lead in total revenue, Flutter significantly outpaces MGM in online revenue. The UK and Ireland revenue edged up 1% to $936 million, while Brazil experienced growth of 144%, reaching $44 million. Southern Europe and Africa saw a 68% surge to $657 million.

Notably, Flutter's online revenue is primarily driven by its successful subsidiary, FanDuel, which contributed $1.8 billion in Q2 revenue. The company recently finalized the acquisition of Boyd Gaming's remaining 5% stake in FanDuel, bringing its ownership to a full 100%.

While no comparable Q2 2022 financial figures or earnings data for other major competitors such as Las Vegas Sands, Caesars, FDJ United, or Super Group were found in the search results, Flutter's Q2 2025 performance underscores its strong position in the global online betting and gaming market.
