Construction of the initial cofferdam on the Lena River's left bank is ongoing, marking a step towards the completion of a trio of such structures. The subsequent commissioning of these dams, slated for this summer, will facilitate the construction of a 194.5-meter-tall pylon.

Focus of work this season primarily on the eastern side of the riverbank.

Construction on the first of three cofferdams for the Lensk Bridge, set to be 194.5 meters high, is underway. Located on the left bank of the Lena River, the assembly of this critical structure is ongoing, as reported by the VIS Group. vKontakte, Classmates, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Yakutia.Info have all carried stories about this development.

The confined-space structure, measuring 17.5 meters in height and 36 meters in width and resembling a barrel, currently stands at 40% completion. According to Anton Krupnov, the director of construction, all base components have been fully assembled and welded, and the installation of wall panels and guide tubes is now underway. The partially-completed cofferdam is already visible from a distance and towers above a typical five-story building.

Uniquely for Russian bridge construction, the construction teams are preparing dry working zones on the bank. Once completed, these areas will be floated to the construction site. For the summer of 2022, the main work is expected to take place on the right bank, where drilling work will resume and bored pile foundations for the bridge supports will commence. A total of 19 such foundations will be installed. Initial drilling efforts were temporarily halted during the flood, but the production of reinforced cages for the piles continued. To date, 160 cages have been manufactured, with 140 more in progress.

Although specific progress updates on the Lensk Bridge construction may not have been widely reported, bridge construction projects globally are making headlines. Notably, the Brenner Base Tunnel has made significant strides, with multiple tunnel sections completed[1]. On another front, the Blaine Bridge Project is underway, with scheduled completion dates[4]. If you require information on a specific bridge, please provide the correct name or location.

The Lensk Bridge project, despite not receiving extensive coverage, is parallel to other significant bridge construction globally. For instance, the Brenner Base Tunnel and the Blaine Bridge Project are also progressing, with projected completion dates. The advancement of science and technology in the construction industry, particularly in bridge-building, is reflected in these developments, alongside the intersection of finance and business to fund these undertakings. Medical-conditions, such as stress or fatigue, may be a concern for construction workers as they work tirelessly to meet their targets, demonstrating the need for proper healthcare and wellness measures within the industry.
