Fundraising achievement of $7 million secured for the debut of a fresh digital platform in the realms of fantasy life.

Fantasy Life, a New York City-based fantasy sports and gaming company, has announced a significant milestone in its journey with a $7 million seed funding round led by LRMR Ventures and SC Holdings. This investment will primarily support the launch of Fantasy Life's new platform, which features an upgraded Guillotine Leagues format and a fully redesigned app and web experience.

The funding will be used for several key initiatives, including platform enhancements, content offerings, and a mobile-first experience. The goal is to develop a new fantasy ecosystem with improved technology and expanded tools, introduce new content offerings to enhance the user experience, and design a mobile-first experience to facilitate scalability and accessibility for users.

One of the most exciting aspects of this development is the integration of Guillotine Leagues into Fantasy Life's platform. This high-stakes, week-to-week survival format is expected to provide users with a more engaging and competitive experience, making it a central feature of the platform. By offering smart, personalized tools and entertaining content, Fantasy Life aims to increase user engagement and attract a wide range of fantasy sports enthusiasts.

Notable investors joining Fantasy Life include NFL stars Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Austin Ekeler, as well as Larry Fitzgerald Jr., Co-Founder of Trenches Capital and a former NFL wide receiver. Other investors include Eberg Capital, Bolt Ventures, Gerry Cardinale, Jeff Shell, Chad Hurley, Wasserman Ventures, Tony Khan, SUM Ventures, John Legend, and Larry Fitzgerald Jr.

Maverick Carter, CEO of LRMR Ventures, has expressed optimism about the investment, citing the strong brand, incredible growth, and market size of sports gaming as compelling factors. Matthew Berry, a fantasy sports analyst, has also expressed excitement about the new features and the potential for the platform to be a game changer for fantasy sports.

The new Guillotine League app is now available on iOS, with Android availability planned for later this summer. Fantasy Life is known as the official tools partner of NBC Sports and is poised to drive growth and innovation in the fantasy sports industry.
