SuperGaming Secures $15 Million Series B Funding for Global Expansion and Web3 Integration
Indian gaming studio SuperGaming has secured a $15 million Series B funding round, with the primary aim of expanding its flagship title, Indus Battle Royale, globally and accelerating its foray into the Web3 gaming ecosystem.
Founded by Roby John, Sreejit J, Navneet Waraich, Christelle D'Cruz, and Sanket Nadhani, SuperGaming has already made a significant impact in the gaming industry. The studio's portfolio has crossed 200 million installs, and Indus Battle Royale, its most ambitious title, has surpassed 9 million downloads.
The funding round, led by a mix of strategic investors and venture capital firms, including a16z Speedrun, Bandai Namco 021 Fund, GFR Fund, IVC Japan, Neowiz (Korea), LOUD.GG (Brazil), Barings, Steadview Capital, Polygon Ventures, Sandeep Nailwal, Decentralised.co, Fourth Revolution Capital (4RC), 32-Bit Ventures, King River Capital, Ryze Labs, Ed3n Ventures, Gabby Dizon, Santiago R Santos, and Visceral Capital, will be used to fuel the global expansion of Indus Battle Royale.
Key expansion plans include a global launch and marketing of the game, targeting broader international audiences to establish Indus Battle Royale as a global esports title. SuperGaming also plans to integrate Web3 technologies, leveraging new partnerships with Web3 ecosystem pioneers and investors such as Polygon Ventures.
The integration of Web3 technologies is a significant step for SuperGaming, as they are pushing into the Web3 space and building a Layer-3 blockchain with B3 GameChain. This move aims to incorporate blockchain elements like NFTs and decentralized assets into their gaming platform.
