German Shelters Launch 'CALL A PET' AI Hotline for Personalized Adoptions

The German Animal Welfare Federation, in collaboration with agency Philipp und Keuntje, has launched an innovative hotline called 'CALL A PET'. Starting on World Animal Day, October 4, this AI-driven service gives dogs and cats in shelters a voice, helping them find forever homes based on personality rather than appearance.

Potential adopters can now call the hotline to interact with animals like Hector, Joker, and Simon. These conversations, held in German or other languages at standard call rates, provide insights into the animals' character, likes, and quirks. The official website, www.callapet.de, will be live from October 4, offering more details and resources.

The system uses AI to analyze these conversations, checking compatibility and arranging personal meetings at the shelter if a match is found. The campaign is supported by social media and influencers to raise awareness and encourage adoption. Further information is available in the media kit: https://ots.de/qhKEcD (password: Tierschutz!).

The 'CALL A PET' hotline, launched on World Animal Day, aims to revolutionize pet adoption by focusing on personality. By giving shelter animals a voice, it hopes to help them find suitable forever homes and raise awareness about animal welfare.
