Global Survey: Mixed Views on Constant Connectivity, Women and Russia Lead Agreement

A global survey reveals varying attitudes towards constant connectivity. Women slightly prefer being always reachable, while Russia and China lead the way with 56% strongly agreeing. Notably, Norway joins Germany, Sweden, Canada, and the Netherlands in having a higher number of people who firmly disagree with this notion.

The study, conducted across 22 countries, found that 43% of women consider being always reachable important, compared to 40% of men. Russia and China top the list with 56% strongly agreeing. Meanwhile, Germany, Sweden, Canada, the Netherlands, and surprisingly, Norway, have more people who firmly disagree with this idea.

In Germany, 34% disagree firmly, contrasting with 16% who agree. Age also plays a role; nearly half (47%) of 30-39 year olds firmly agree with being always reachable. Globally, 42% agree firmly, while only 11% firmly disagree.

The findings highlight a mixed global perspective on constant connectivity. While some countries and demographics embrace it, others express a strong preference for disconnecting. This underscores the need for individual and societal balance in our tech-driven world.
