Google Cloud Unveils New AI Agents for Simplified Data Tasks

Google Cloud has unveiled a suite of new AI agents designed to simplify complex data tasks. The agents, aimed at both technical and non-technical users, are set to automate workflows and make AI more accessible. The launch, described as the start of the 'agentic era' for AI by Google Cloud's Managing Director Yasmeen Ahmad, also sees an expanded partnership with Trend Micro.

The new suite includes the Data Science Agent for BigQuery and Vertex AI, which handles exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, and machine learning predictions. The Data Engineering Agent for BigQuery automates data pipelines with natural language prompts. Additionally, a new migration agent for Spanner simplifies the migration of legacy databases to Spanner.

To integrate these AI agents into systems, Google Cloud is launching Gemini Data Agents APIs. The Code Interpreter converts natural language questions into Python code for complex data analysis. Google Cloud's AI-native foundation enables real-time insights from both transactional and analytical data.
