Google Tag Manager Update Boosts Tag Customization

Google Tag Manager (GTM) has rolled out an update, aligning its built-in templates with raw tagging capabilities. This gives advertisers more control within the container interface.

The update introduces a new Event Parameters field group in Ads and Floodlight event tags. This allows users to send custom parameters and configure tracker settings directly, a feature previously unavailable.

Until now, GTM users had to rely on workarounds or manual implementations to achieve this. The new field group closes this gap, making GTM more flexible for advanced measurement setups.

Google has not specified a release date for this update, but it is now available for advertisers to use. This change empowers users to customize their tags more effectively within the GTM interface.
