In the world of children's and youth bicycles, there's a name that's been making waves – Woom. Founded in 2013 by bike-enthusiastic fathers Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, Woom has been growing steadily, thanks to continuous innovation and successful market introductions.

Based in Vienna, Austria, Woom is an internationally active manufacturer that has made its mark in over 40 countries, including the USA. The company's success is evident in its Q1 2025 results, which saw a 44 million euro revenue – a 40% increase from Q1 2024 and a record high for the company, marking the strongest quarter in its history.

The growth is particularly noticeable in the DACH region, where Woom saw a 16% increase in bicycle sales, and in markets outside the DACH region, such as the Nordic countries, the UK, and Benelux, where sales have increased by 50%. The company's expansion in the USA has also been significant.

Woom's success can be attributed to its innovative product innovations, which are specifically tailored to the needs of young riders. In the last ten months, Woom has launched five new products – the woom EXPLORE models, woom GO series, READY children's helmet, POP children's bicycle basket, and woom EXPLORE e – all of which have been awarded renowned design prizes.

The new products are known for their low weight, timeless design, high-quality components, and geometry adapted to children's needs. One of the most anticipated releases is the product for young children from 9 months old, which Woom plans to introduce in autumn 2025.

Bernd Hake, CEO of Woom, is pleased with the development and attributes the success to innovation, market and channel diversification, attention to detail, and the team's commitment. He believes that Woom has shown how a strong and visionary brand can shape the children's bicycle market and awaken new needs.
