Grand Seiko Unveils Limited-Edition Dawn-Inspired Chronograph
Grand Seiko has unveiled the Tentagraph SLGC006, a captivating mechanical chronograph that pays homage to Japan's northern landscapes at dawn. Limited to 300 pieces, this timepiece is part of the Evolution 9 Collection and boasts a serene copper-pink dial inspired by Mt. Iwate's volcanic geology.
The Tentagraph SLGC006 showcases a high-intensity titanium case, accented with ceramics and 18k rose gold, measuring 43.2mm across and 15.4mm thick. Its dial captures the tranquility of dawn, with a radial pattern reminiscent of Mt. Iwate's volcanic landscape. Applied indexes and hands, plated in 18k rose gold and filled with Lumibrite, add a touch of elegance.
The watch features 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters, a small seconds sub-dial, and a date window, all arranged for optimal legibility. The Caliber 9SC5 movement beats at ten beats per second, ensuring a 72-hour power reserve even when the chronograph is in use. The chronograph sub-dials reinforce the dial's clarity, echoing the subtle transitions of daybreak.
The Grand Seiko Tentagraph SLGC006 is more than a timepiece; it's a wearable tribute to nature's beauty. With its limited production run, it promises to be a rare companion for those who appreciate the majesty and tranquility of dawn.
