Haivision Releases a Fresh Interface for Haivision Pro Transmitter

Haivision Unveils Redesigned Interface for Pro Series and Related Video Transmitters

Haivision, a leading provider of mission-critical live video streaming solutions, is set to showcase its newly redesigned user interface at the 2025 NAB Show, booth W2221. The updated interface offers streamlined, intuitive usability and enhanced control, making it more user-friendly for operators of all technical proficiency levels.

The redesign focuses on a user-friendly and customizable interface that allows for easy navigation and efficient configuration of settings. This streamlined, intuitive design aims to reduce complexity and multiple steps, making it easier for users to manage their video transmission and live production setups.

One of the key features of the updated interface is the advanced remote camera controls. Operators can now adjust camera settings remotely, such as ISO, white balance, and focus, directly via the interface. This improvement enhances on-shot adaptability and reduces manual intervention, making live production smoother and more efficient.

Improved live and recording controls are another significant benefit of the new interface. Features such as live automatic start, lock/unlock views for live and recording, minimum live latency optimization (down to 800ms), and better gain adjustment with an improved VU-meter enhance real-time production quality and monitoring.

The new interface also includes enhanced audio handling, with an integrated audio channel display in the VU-meter. This feature helps operators manage audio sources with greater precision and clarity. Additionally, video files can now include timecode data upon recording, facilitating synchronization and post-production workflows.

For related devices like multi-channel portable video studios, a high-quality 17.3-inch 4K UHD monitor allows for sharp, detailed preview and multiview displays. This improvement enables better video source monitoring and production control. Some transmitters also include built-in touchscreen panels, eliminating the need for external devices and facilitating direct and fast interaction with switching, effects, keying, and other live production features.

The new browser-based interface is highly functional and visually compelling. It is part of an initiative to provide a consistent and enhanced user experience across Haivision's broadcast products, including the Haivision Pro series, Haivision Air video transmitters, and Haivision Rack video encoders.

The new interface simplifies configuration and enables users to manage live video transmission remotely. Confidence monitoring is now available at a glance with the new interface. The consistency of the new Haivision Pro UI with the user face of Makito X4 and other Haivision products fosters greater ease of use, reduces training requirements, and enables efficient management of complex broadcast contribution workflows involving wired and wireless video streaming.

Jean-Marc Racine, chief product officer at Haivision, stated that user interface design is central to Haivision's product development. The redesign aimed to improve ease of use for video professionals, including camera operators, field talent, and broadcast engineers. One-tap filtering is a new feature of the new interface, making it easier for users to find the settings they need quickly.

Haivision has started shipping the latest version of software for its Haivision Pro transmitter. The new software version has a redesigned, streamlined user interface similar to the Makito X4 video encoder. The new user interface offers a familiar user experience, making it easier for users to transition to the updated version.

More information about the new interface can be found on Haivision's website. Haivision Pro is suitable for transmitting live video over both public and private 5G networks, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of live video production applications.
